How to wear print this Autumn/Winter?
I’m a fan of capsule wardrobe containing few but oh so powerful colours: black, white, grey and every shade of beige. I believe you can make neutral wardrobe stand out with a little twist here and there. If you’re not big on clashing patterns or bold colours just follow few simple rules that you can be applied to any outfit.
Choose colours that are part of your capsule wardrobe. It will make it easy to mix and match with other garments.
Look for a small and subtle print. Large prints tend to add volume and highlight certain areas of your body that perhaps you’re not happy with.
Statement piece works well in neutral wardrobe. Keep your outfit simple and let the print do the talking. You can try item as small and safe as socks or scarf or the real hero like a hat, shoes or coat.
Tailoring. Suits are usually made in check of different size and colour. If you have a minimal style you can pick something subtle and easily combined with many pieces in your wardrobe. Suit is a versatile clothing and great one to have because you can chose to wear only jacket or trousers. It’s also seasonless which means you can wear it in the Winter with boots and cashmere jumper but also in the Summer with backless loafers and silk vest.
When in doubt, try classic prints that never go out of style.
Stripes, leopard print, plaid, houndstooth etc. They go with everything and can be mixed together if you’re bold enough.
